Welcome

Welcome to the Saginaw Bay District of the United Methodist Church:  Rev. Dr. Jeffrey R. Maxwell,
District Superintendent.
The Saginaw Bay District comprises 72 local churches in the northeast portion of the lower peninsula of Michigan.  The district is one of six districts of the Detroit Annual Conference, Deborah Kiesey, Resident Bishop.

Imagine No Malaria
"Imagine No Malaria" has awakened the church to what disciples of Jesus can do to transform the world.  Just imagine what we can and will do next.

A small $10 donation will save one life.  The Detroit and West Michigan Conferences approved an effort to invite every United Methodist Church in Michigan to save the life of one person in Africa for every member of their faith community.  Our Michigan area goal is to save 150,000 lives by December 2014 by raising $1.5 million.

Donate NOW:  Advance Special Number:  3021190 or text Malaria DAC to 27722

Spotlight Church Book 2014
The 2014 Spotlight Church Book is now available as a convenient PDF download to assist local churches in planning their 2014 connectional and missional giving.  Highlighting some of the most creative, innovative, and vital ministries across our Conference and our denomination, the book invites local churches to join together to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

The 2013 Spotlight Church Report Form can be found in the 2013 Spotlight Book posted on the conference website.  If you have any questions about Spotlight Church, please contact the Rev. Paul Perez, pperez@detroitconference.org Conference Director of Mission and Justice Engagement & Leadership Recruitment.
